Kellie Morley named finalist in the RAC WA Sports Star Awards

Lacrosse WA is pleased to announce Kellie Morley named as a Top 3 finalist for "Community TAB Official of the Year" for this Thursday night's RAC WA Sports Star Awards.

Kellie has been acknowledged after an extremely successful year of officiating nationally and internationally.  Kellie was an umpire at the 2017 FIL Rathbones Women's World Cup in Guildford, UK, umpired the Championship Final at the 2017 ALA Senior National Championship and was Umpire-in-Charge at the 2017 ALA U15 Regional Tournament.

On local soil, Kellie officiated all LWA Grand Finals this year from Girl's 13's through to Women's State League.  She is a huge asset to lacrosse in Western Australia on and off the field with her role as LWA's Director of Officiating.

LWA is also pleased to announce fellow nominees Elizabeth Hinkes and Ashtyn Hiron (RAC Sports Star of the Year) and Ryan Hockey and Karri Somerville (Railtrain Junior Sports Star).

Back-to-back National Champions, the 2017 WA U18 Girl's State Team, has been nominated for Channel 7 Sports Team of the Year and Alana McKinley as KPMG Coach of the Year.  Stephanie McRae was also nominated for the Community TAB Official of the Year.

The 2017 RAC Sports Star Awards will be held this Thursday night at Optus Stadium's Riverview Rooms.  It will be the first black-tie event inside the new Burswood venue.
