Reporting a Player/Team Official

Lacrosse WA (LWA) strongly promotes fair and respectful play in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Regulations.

LWA encourages officials to report matters of a serious nature or concern.  These actions can include an incident of rough play or misconduct (inluding the use of indecent, threatening, abusive or other inappropriate language and damage to property).

Any match official or board member may report any registered member (including a social member), of a club for misconduct in relation to any off field incident if that incident happens within one kilometre of a lacrosse field and if the incident happens on a day where a match is scheduled to be played at that field.

Any match official or board member may report any club for misconduct where any person associated with that club (whether registered as a member or not) for any off field incident if that incident happens within one (1) kilometre of a lacrosse field and if the incident happens on a day where a match is scheduled to be played at that field.

For instances where a player is expelled from a game or for other cases where an official believes the rules of play do not adequately deal with the matter, then a report should be lodged with LWA for consideration. All reports will be dealt with by the LWA Commssioner according to the specifics of the case.
We strongly encourage everyone to report matters of a serious nature or concern to you as a participant in the sport. Whether you are not sure, the lodging of a report will assist LWA and everyone to continue to promote fair play by ensuring our sports culture is one of respect, safety and accountability for your actions.
